Tube Bending Tools

To ensure you always get a good bend, it is critical to select and properly use the correct set of tools for the job.

The right tool choice promotes higher accuracy bending and reduces the chance of problems and defects. Incorrect tool choice can cause defects that can negatively affect the tube being bent or even the bending machine itself. Although purchasing individual tools can be a more economical option, buying tools as a set can ensure proper fitting and even wear of all tools that can translate to longer lifespan and better bending results.

When selecting the proper tools to use, it is necessary to consider the application for the tooling, along with the features, mountings, capabilities, and limitations of your bending machine. For example, when bending tube with thick walls around a large radius, you may not need to hold very precise tolerances, so a standard tool set on a larger bender will work. On the other hand, a small tube with thin walls around a tight radius, commonly seen in aerospace and medical fields, may need more precise tools with LIP or INTERLOCK that can hold tighter tolerances on a smaller bender.
